Three ways to perform Hajj
Qiran (most preferred)
Umrah and Hajj in one ihram. This is the best form. A sacrifice (dam) is required.
Tamattu'
Umrah first, leave ihram, then enter ihram again for Hajj on 8 Dhul Hijjah. A sacrifice is required.
Ifrad
Hajj only. No sacrifice is required, but it is the least preferred of the three.
